AUGUST, GA (WRDW/WAGT) — As the spate of armed robberies continues in Augusta, authorities have identified at least a few suspects — one at Waffle House last week, one at a store this week.
The Waffle House robbery took place just after 3 a.m. on January 19 at 3408 Mike Padgett Hwy – right within sight of the South Station of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, MPs identified 20-year-old Jacean Carmichael as a robbery suspect. He is described as 6’2″, 300 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities also released photographs of a man who is known to frequent the Gladys Road area of Beach Island and should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to the manager, one of the robbers was wearing a black zip-up jacket, white shirt, gloves, black pants, black shoes and a black mask. The other was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, white shoes, a blue baseball cap, and a black mask.
After paying for the buyer’s belongings, who then left, the man in the white shoes pulled an unknown brand/model pistol from the left front pocket of his trousers, the spokesman said. The man then pointed the gun at the clerk as he approached the clerk behind the desk and front desk. Near the clerk, armed men shot into the ground.
