After months of leaks and speculation, the United States officially unveiled the 2022 FIFA World Cup jersey in Qatar in September.
Taylor Adams, Sergino Durst, Anthony Robinson, Ricardo Pepi and Brandon Aronson of the men’s team were the main models for the release of the Nike jersey, which was also introduced to Portugal, France, England, countries such as Brazil and the Netherlands. On the other hand, Alex Morgan and Rose Lavelle were ready to help showcase the new theme.
“Designed to inspire unity, symbolize diversity, and celebrate Nike and USA Soccer’s commitment to expanding the game for the next generation on and off the field, these uniforms will be worn by both national teams as part of the federation’s belief in one nation. One team,” US Soccer and Nike said in an official joint release.
“With a bold and colorful reimagined design, the new American uniform becomes a proud symbol of the team and the nation, embodying diversity and unity, the values that unite the nation.”

Two months before the tournament in Qatar, the US men’s soccer team unveiled a new home (home) jersey and a second (away) jersey.
The home jersey is all white with the US team crest on the front and center. It features a blue uniform at the center of the collar, blue and red stripes on the sleeves, and a Nike plaid on both sleeves.
It’s a simple design that at least gets a “clean” description. The socks are very nice, with a blue background, “USA” lettering, red stripes and a Nike check.
US Soccer and Nike added in a joint statement, “The home kit features a timeless red, white and blue color scheme inspired by America’s diversity and the storied legacies of various sports, leagues and associations.” “The design of the jersey is taken from the iconic uniforms commonly used in US track and field to celebrate the leading role played by the US Football Federation in shaping and unifying the nation’s sports culture.”
Nike also claimed to have made the U.S. football team’s front badge the largest allowed by FIFA rules and claimed to have been influenced by NFL jerseys by placing the Nike logo on the sleeves.

The USA 2022 World Cup away jersey is Nike’s attempt at a bold design choice. They feature a tie-dye design they call “ice dye” and feature the US Football Team crest on the front and center, just like on the home jerseys.
The socks on this one are all blue with no stripes, while the shorts are also blue with little red triangles on the top and bottom on each side.
“The away kit is built on a bold design that celebrates diversity, youth and unity,” US Soccer and Nike said in a joint release. “Inspired by design techniques in the U.S. fashion and streetwear industry, Nike’s design team used a unique ice-dye technique to create vibrant youth print that brought the jersey to life.”
